| Introduction
This 2-day workshop will provide hands-on learning experience on how to
organize a training event starting from the planning to the wrapping up
processes.
Useful
for those just starting out in the training department, this workshop
includes an overview of the training function.
The focus of the workshop is on the training operation coordination aspects
covered in 3 stages - what to do and how to do - organizing small-scale
to larger-scale events either on-site at company premises or off-site
at a hotel venue.
Objectives
In this workshop participants will:
1. Understanding the training grant subsidies applicable for companies
2. Identifying key components in event management
3. Identifying key costing components for preparation of costing statement
4. Preparing a checklist for liaison with various parties involved in
the event
5. Identifying key pointers for preparation of a simple event circular
6. Identifying key information for preparation of event report
7. Preparing a checklist for reviewed event processes

Methodology
Using a deductive
approach where participants work through the processes with relevant input.
Feedback will be given to participants on their proposed plans and suggested
activities.
Who should attend
Training
Administrators and Event Coordinators, Admin Assistants and those assisting
in training administrative matters. HR & Non HR assistants, junior
supervisors, officers and executives in support roles handling general
administrative matters, who are either new to the organisation or need
to refresh training and event management skills.
Trainer
Joan is HRSINGAPORE'S VP for Training with over ten years of
experience in areas of human resource development and its administration.
Her experience includes programme development relating to training workshops,
seminars and conferences.
She
has helped numerous clients in identifying their in-house training needs
and also coordinated numerous People Developer consultancy works leading
to companies receiving the PD Awards.
Her
training experience includes conducting programmes on reading, conversational
and presentation skills, and enrichment training for programmes like study
and listening skills.
Joan
holds a Master degree in Social Sciences (Applied Sociology), Bachelor
of Arts (Communication and Sociology) and Certificate in Management Studies.
