List of Consultants Our Corporate Advisor, Dr. Robert J. Greene has a PhD (Applied Behavioral Science) from Northwestern University, an MBA (Human Resource Management ) from the University of Chicago and BA (Economics) from University of Texas and has over thirty years of industry and consulting experience with organizations on formulating and evaluating human resource management strategies and designing, implementing, administering and evaluating performance and compensation management programs. He also provides counsel on defining, assessing and reshaping organizational culture and effectively managing cross-cultural workforces. Dr. Greene's professional's certifications include: Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) He has published over 75 articles and book chapters and was awarded the first Keystone Award for achieving the highest level of excellence in the field by the American Compensation Association (now WorldAtWork). He was a principal designer of the CCP, GRP, PHR, SPHR and CPHRC certification programs and brought the GRP program to Singapore at its inception, working in conjunction with the Singapore National Employers Federation. He has taught and spoken around the world and was an expert advisor to the SHRM Global Learning System and principal author of the SHRM Learning System module on Compensation, as well as several certification courses in the GRP and CPHRC certification programs. Ian Butler’s generalist HR experience spans more than 25 years, living and working in both a European and Asian setting. His previous position was as Regional HR Manager for Alfa Laval, covering the Asia Region, Middle East, Sub Saharan Africa and Oceania; his principal focus was senior executive development and coaching. In addition to his responsibility for senior executive development, he also lead a major restructuring, which entailed a significant change in HR strategy. Ian spent 3 years in India, setting up a back office HR data unit for the worldwide Alfa Laval Group. Prior to his 7 years with Alfa Laval, Ian was Senior Vice President, Human Resources, for ABB/Adtranz for 16 years in both UK and Germany. His responsibilities included major restructuring and leading a significant change in HR strategy. Ian is a graduate in Business Studies and HR, in London UK. He specialize in executive coaching and international assignment solutions. Janarthanan Selvarajoo has more than 10 years of experience with the Ministry of Manpower and has held the positions of Director Employment Inspectorate, Deputy Controller of Work Permits, Assistant Commissioner for Labour and Head Labour Court. He has worked closely with several industry associations, agencies and regulatory government agencies, and established himself as a highly knowledgeable and experienced HR Management practitioner with hands-on experience including development and implementation regulatory policies, labour standards, review of employment trends, promotion of best practices and education on employment laws. Janar holds a Bachelor of Business in Management & Marketing, Higher Diploma in Business Studies and a Diploma in Business Administration & Marketing. He is now actively giving large-scale presentation to associations, organisations and companies from various industries on topics pertaining to Foreign Manpower Management, Employment Act and Labour Standards. Pung Eng Hui Sonny is a graduate of the Labour College of Canada and has held various positions in the human resource field since 1964. Amongst the many senior positions he has held, it also includes deputy and executive director positions for professional and not-for-profit organisations in Singapore. A HR veteran and practitioner, he has represented employers and human resource practitioners at local and international seminars and conferences. Mr. Pung was also an "Employers' Panel Member" of the Industrial Arbitration Court of Singapore and sat on many committees related to human resource functions at different stages of his career. He has also led and participated in several study missions to foreign countries for purpose of developmental work. Mr. Pung is still active in the HR fraternity and contribute his knowledge in various areas including judging awards competition for best corporate HR practices. Carina Tien has over 20 years of corporate experiences in various multinational companies. Her experience and exposure include customer relations, human resources, training & development, sales administration, secretarial, advertising and business development. In her previous appointment as the Membership Manager of a US renowned financial association, Carina travelled to many parts of Asia to expand her membership base. Some of her clients include Agricultural Bank of China, AmInvestment Bank Bhd, Axis Bank Ltd, Bank of China and China Construction Bank just to name a few. In addition, she had also worked closely with various financial regulators in Asia such as People's Bank of China and Reserve Bank of India, organizing financial seminars for the association to these institutions. Carina is also a certified Life Coach. Her specialty is on guiding and supporting women through many transitions of their life and enabling them to become the woman they were truly meant to be. Carina specializes in conducting workshops on communications skills, personal goal setting, personal image, grooming and deportment, business networking and etiquette, customer service as well as career transition and salary negotiation. Her training focuses on the human transformation through experiential learning, coaching and facilitation. Besides training and facilitation, Carina is also an extremely versatile music practitioner with more than 10 years of teaching experience as well as more than 20 years of immense knowledge on the art of singing and performing and has been a regular performer for The Esplanade since 2003. With her experiences and passion in performing arts, she is willing to share her skills and knowledge with her students. She has students from different nations, such as France, Philippines, Thailand, United Kingdom, China as well as neighbourhood country, Malaysia. Carina received her Degree in Business & Human Resource Management from UK. She also processes Diplomas in Communication Studies, Advertising and Business Administration as well as an Advanced Certificate In Training & Assessment (ACTA). She is effectively bilingual in English, Mandarin and local dialects. Nicholas Sim has more than twenty-five years of broad-based experience in Human Resource Management and had headed both generalist and specialist HR functions as Manager, Regional Manager, Vice President and Divisional Director. His HR experience spans across varied industries as in Commerce, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Retail, Banking, and the University sector. Nicholas was also a council member of a local institute for several years, and was an active member of their Industrial Relations Committee, regularly giving clinical advice to member companies and individual members. Nicholas is an accredited Senior Human Resource Professional, Trainer, Facilitator, Coach, and a director of an Executive Search firm. He has conducted numerous public and client in-house workshops and courses. He is also an adjunct lecturer with various educational institutes and universities and taught various HR modules and Organizational Behaviour. On the subject of the Employment Act & Employment Practices, Nicholas has conducted many workshops for HR practitioners and line managers and supervisors. A seasoned facilitator/trainer, Nicholas’ training experience covers Employment Act & other Labour legislation, Recruitment & Selection, Performance Appraisal, Grievance Handling, Organisational Behaviour and Employee Relations & Discipline. Nicholas has a Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management and an Masters degree in Business Administration. Haridas Ramadas (Hari) is the Founder & CEO of HRSINGAPORE® and past Vice President of HRD Gateway Sdn Bhd. An experienced trainer and consultant in Human Resource Management and Communication skills, Hari has worked in Singapore and overseas in the banking, trading and service industries and has 18 years experience in training and consulting. His experience includes conducting public programmes, as well as in-house programmes for GMP, KLM Cargo, Pan United, Courts, Centrepoint Properties, Humming House, Brunei Shell, CPF Board and MINDEF. Born and bred in Singapore, Hari holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Singapore and a Diploma in Education from the National University of Singapore. He personally designs and delivers workshops on Performance Management,
