HRSINGAPORE® Digest Is it alright for your employees to receive gifts from your corporate clients or suppliers? And if they do, how does HR police this? The following are some practices from the discussions in our HR forum:
The receiving of corporate gifts can become an issue or concern when it biases judgments and influences decision-making or favors one supplier against another. In serious cases, the fear is on the breaking of confidentiality or leaking of confidential company information. Many companies have written policies to help prevent the above occurrences or provide guidelines or code of ethics on business conduct to manage this aspect of corporate behaviour.
