CHRA Frequently Asked Questions


  • What is the duration of the course?
  • This course comprises of eight modules which are conducted over eight Saturdays, 9.00a.m. - 5.00p.m.


  • Is there any written examination?
  • There is no written examination. Participants are required to complete the competency-based skills assessments during the training sessions.


  • What are competency-based skills assessments?
  • Presentation, discussion, mini projects/research studies, peer appraisals/evaluations, role plays, case application studies, interactive activities: games, quiz and exercises, teamwork activities etc.


  • What if I am unable to complete all the modules?
  • In order to pass this course, participants are required to complete all the modules and passed all competency-based assessments. Participants who failed to attend the module(s) are required to attend the next available course intakes, within 2 years from the first day of the commencement of the course.


  • Who issue the CHRA certificate?
  • The certificate is issued by HRSINGAPORE Pte Ltd.


  • Will employers recognise this certificate?
  • The recognition is subjected to different employers. Most of the past participants of CHRA were sponsored by their companies/organisations which include: National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU), Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Outward Bound Singapore, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Tourism Board, Nippon Express, Far East Organization, Certis CISCO Security, Meritus Mandarin, Federal Express, Panasonic Refrigeration Devices, PT.   • What is the next level of studies after this course?
  • CHRA graduates can progress to undertake the Certified Human Resources Manager (CHRM) course and CHRS (Certified Human Resource Specialist) courses - CHRS (Payroll), CHRS (Rewards Management), CHRS (Recruitment), CHRS (Compensation & Benefits), etc.


  • Can CPF be used to finance this course?
  • No.
